Today we walked on the Great Wall of China. And walked. And walked.Actually, we were only there for a few hours, and walked a couple of km, but it was, well, a bit steep in places. And hot.
Some of us in the group made it to the highest point in this section of the wall (Badaling Wall). We were quite proud of ourselves, and quite willing to share the sense of accomplishment with the several toddlers and one man on crutches who were among those at the top as well. This is a very popular destination, and was definitely a highlight of the trip so far.
In fact, I have decided my destiny is to remain here and clean the wall. Also, it is my consequence for bypassing government imposed internet filters and posting to this blog. A small price to pay.
I have quite a bit of wall to clean before I can upload any more pics. Please be patient.
