We’re back!

Sky and I are pleased to inform you that we are able to continue to provide updates on how our the father-daughter time is going, although it is still not possible to send email attachments or for me to access the blog from here (at least through normal channels). Of course, I cannot reveal how this was done, but I would like to thank a certain J. Chan.

Thank you to Grandma Stinson for letting us know about the earthquake in Yunnan Province. I don't know how the web filtering works here, but it seems that sometimes we have access to more sites until searching with certain words or phrases, like "China news", or try to access a site like youtube, and then sites we were previously able to view are no longer available. From what I heard, only one person died, about 300 were injured, and over 400 000 were evacuated (okay, that's a lot of people moved out of their homes). Last year, there was a much worse earthquake, in Sichuan Province, when 70000 died. In a few days, we will be in Hunan province, where we will spend the last 3 weeks of our trip.
